1.2738H steel
1.2738H is a plastic mould steel with nickel, supplied hardened, also known as 718H. MD Steel Co. supplies 1.2738H at N.I.T. Faridabad, cut to size and supplied with a mill test certificate.
Typical uses
Large plastic moulds machined directly without further heat treatment.
Same chemistry as 1.2738, delivered pre-hardened and tempered to about 32–36 HRC so it can be machined straight into a mould.
